This exceptional and large antique Georgian sterling silver sugar caster has a circular baluster shaped form onto a circular stepped spreading domed foot.
The seamed body of the sterling silver caster is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of an eagle displayed grasping in the claws a serpent nowed.
The body and cast foot are further ornamented with moulded borders to the rims.
This large Georgian silver caster retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with impressive finely pierced scrolling leaf designs and is surmounted by an impressive cast sterling silver baluster-shaped finial.
