Chinese Silver Vinaigrette - Antique Circa 1900

This exceptional antique Chinese silver vinaigrette has been realistically modelled in the form of a purse.

The surface of this silver vinaigrette is embellished with chased decoration depicting simplified Oriental figures on a matte background.

This impressive box retains the original round link chain, securing to ring loop attachments to either side of the body.

The case is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover, embellished with a flat engraved stemmed chrysanthemum design, on a matte background.

The cover opens to allow access to the hinged pierced scrolling leaf decorated grille.

This antique Chinese silver vinaigrette purse is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp and the flat engraved decoration is very crisp.
