These stunning, fine and impressive antique drop earrings have been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
Each earring is ornamented with an articulating feature drop shape bead Colombian emerald, held to the upper portion via a tri-lobed bud style setting embellished with nine impressive pavé set Dutch cut diamonds.
The pear-shaped drops each suspend from an articulating linear arrangement, incorporating a single oval-shaped natural pearl.
The circular-shaped apex setting of each earring is comprised of an impressive button-shaped natural saltwater pearl encompassed with a domed yellow gold frame ornamented with five equidistant collet set eight-cut diamonds.
These emerald and pearl earrings for pierced ears secure to the reverse with a yellow gold post and white gold hinged latch fastening; this latch provides added security and has been added later due to technological advancements.
This stunning pair of Victorian emerald earrings has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold.
These impressive earrings are supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card, in addition to an pearl report card and certificate* supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services and a GIA gemological report** for the emeralds.
Such original Victorian examples, with the original pearls and emeralds, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
NOTES:
* This report certificate and card accredits the light cream natural nacreous pearls originating from a saltwater environment and certifies they show no indications of treatment.
** This documentation accredits the emerald originating in Colombia (Colombian) and certifies that the gemstone shows moderate clarity enhancement.
"Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."
