The brooch has been modelled in the form of a frog with one hind leg outstretched.
The eyes of the frog are each represented by an impressive platinum collet set Dutch cut diamond.
The webbed front feet of the frog are ornamented with a total of eleven further pavé set Dutch cut diamonds.
The yellow gold body of the frog is embellished with seventeen impressive individually four claw set cabochon cut emeralds.
The emerald brooch secures to the underside with a double hinged pin and push fit safety clasp.
The impressive frog brooch is hallmarked to the reverse of the foot with the French mark for 18ct gold (eagle's head) and the French fineness mark for platinum (dog's head); the pin fastening is hallmarked with the French maker's mark (HOB).
