This exceptional Austro-Hungarian silver tea caddy has an oval rounded form.
The surface of this antique silver tea caddy is embellished with embossed iconic Art Nouveau style scrolling organic decoration, incorporating floral heads and interlacing leaves.
The box is fitted with a hinged cover accented with further embossed ornamentation, identical to that of the body.
The cover is surmounted by an impressive cast and applied floral finial, elevated on water leaf style supports.
This exceptional antique silver tea caddy is supported by four cast trifurcating leaf decorated feet.
The interior of the caddy features the original gilding.
