This magnificent, fine and impressive Victorian agate jewellery set has been crafted in a combination of 18ct gold and 15ct gold.
The antique jewellery suite is composed of a necklace, bracelet, earrings and brooch.
The necklace consists of twenty-eight graduated banded agate beads of a large size and quality.
The antique necklace secures with a discreet integrated push fit clasp, integrated within one of the rounded banded agate beads.
The Victorian bracelet is of the same design of the necklace, consisting of fourteen rounded banded agate beads and securing in the same manner.
The drop earrings have been crafted in 15ct yellow gold, and have an oval form.
Each earring is ornamented with a central oval cabochon cut banded agate, which is surrounded by six evenly spaced smaller round cabochon cut banded agates, all collet set.
A single round cabochon cut banded agate drop suspends from the lower border of the feature setting.
The earrings secure to the upper border with a French hook fastening, from which the feature setting suspends via a single collet set round cabochon cut banded agate.
The brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold and has a three dimensional domed circular form, ornamented to the centre with a round cabochon cut banded agate, surrounded by six collet set oval cabochon cut banded agates.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp.
The reverse is fitted with a push fit glass panel to allow a personal momento to be stored within if so desired.
This antique Victorian jewellery suite is fitted to the exceptional and impressive original push fit satin and velvet lined leatherette presentation case, which shows signs of discoloration to the interior in keeping with age.
This banded agate jewellery suite has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct yellow gold and 15ct yellow gold.
