A jabot pin is a type of brooch characterised by decorative motifs at each end. When worn, only these adorned ends are visible, while the fabric in between is showcased. Originating around the mid-seventeenth century, jabot pins served to fasten the ruffled or lace fabric known as a jabot, typically worn by men on the front of their shirts.

During the 1920s and 1930s, jabot pins experienced a surge in popularity, particularly embodying the Art Deco style. These pins were crafted with geometric designs and featured luxurious materials such as platinum, diamonds, intricately carved rock crystal, and calibré-cut stones, reflecting the opulence and elegance of the era.
