This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian opal bangle has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The anterior face of the bangle is ornamented with five graduated pavé set oval cabochon cut opals, totalling 3.92cts.
The opals are framed by a total of forty-two pavé and claw set Old European round cut diamonds.
The posterior portion of this hinged bangle is plain and unembellished, securing with an integrated push fit clasp and benefiting from the additional security of a fine link safety chain.
The interior of the antique bangle is fully hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark 'HG&S', the gold guarantee mark (crown), the Chester City arms, the 18ct gold mark (18) and the date letter for 1895 (M).
The posterior face of the bangle is slightly misshaped to the base in-keeping with age, this does not affect the integrity of the item.
The bangle is fitted to a hinged leatherette and red satin lined presentation case.
This antique Victorian opal bangle is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
