An exceptional, fine and impressive antique 19th Century German silver coffee pot with spirit burner, in the Queen Anne style; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection

This exceptional antique German silver coffee pot has an oval rounded form.


The lower portion of the rounded body is ornamented with embossed, convex fluted decoration.


The upper portion is plain and unembellished, with applied moulded borders to the swept shoulders.


This exceptional coffee pot is fitted with the original hinged cover, which features further segmented fluted decoration to the domed portion.


The cover retains the original oval carved wood and silver topped finial.


This Queen Anne silver style coffee pot is fitted with the original elongated C shaped wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.


The pot detaches from the original hallmarked silver stand, supported by four impressive cast legs, each terminating with a hoof foot accented with a leaf design.


The oval frame and base of the stand are encompassed with palmette decorated borders.


The serpentine-shaped stand bears an oval receiver to the centre, accommodating the original detachable globular spirit burner.


The surface of the base is embellished with the contemporary engraved inscription 'Zum Andenken 1842'*.


This hallmarks to the underside of this 19th century coffee pot and frame of the stand include:

Assay mark: Hamburg, Germany

Assay Master mark: U (Heinrich Leonhard Möller)

Maker's mark: F.Se

The interior of the coffee pot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.
