This magnificent antique German silver centrepiece has an oval rounded form.
The exceptional bowl is embellished with impressive panels of pierced and embossed spiralling fruiting vine ornamentation, flanking a central oval embossed decorated scrolling leaf style oval rosette.
The rim of the body and plain swept pedestal foot are each encompassed with applied tied reed decorated borders.
Either side of this large antique silver centrepiece is fitted with impressive elevated loop style handles, embellished with compressed spiralling upper terminals incorporating Art Nouveau style garland designs.
The magnificent German silver bowl surmounts an impressive stand, ornamented with panels of pieced and embossed decorated laurel foliage designs.
Either end of the stand bears further oval rosette designs, replicating those to the bowl.
The decoration to the substantial base incorporates two vacant oval cartouches, emanating to a three-dimensional collar design.
These collar motifs bridge a further impressive tied reed decorated border, and continue to two of the four bracket style feet, all in the organic Art Nouveau style.
