This stunning, fine and impressive vintage sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The substantial setting is ornamented with a stunning feature collet set 17.50ct cabochon cut star sapphire.
Either side of the feature stone is embellished with thirteen modern brilliant round cut diamonds, set in two vertical curvilinear arrangements.
The broad shoulders integrate with the main setting and meld to the plain yellow gold shank.
This vintage star sapphire ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark, the minimum standard 14ct fineness mark (585) and the Birmingham Assay Office mark (anchor); the piece has been more accurately tested with a modern, state of the art piece of technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 17.95ct gold.
This vintage 1980's ring is supplied with an independent diamond and gemstone grading report card.
