This fine and impressive Victorian bar brooch has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The 9ct yellow gold bar is ornamented to the lower border with three silver set crescent shaped settings, embellished with a total of twenty-four pavé set diamonds.
The bar itself is ornamented with three bud and leaf, trefoil design settings set to the incurve of the crescent shaped settings.
Each bud and leaf consists of an individually four claw set round mixed cut ruby, a round mixed cut sapphire and an Old European round cut diamond, accented to the upper border with a flared silver set leaf design which is accented with a single pavé set Old European round cut diamond.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and catch, and is fitted to the original hinged leatherette push fit presentation case.
The case has a velvet and satin lined interior which displays the retailer's name 'Henry M. Todd, Watchmaker, Jewellery & Silversmith, 38 Queen Street, Ulverstone'.

This impressive antique Victorian brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold and silver.
The brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.
