This stunning, fine and impressive vintage sapphire ring has been crafted in platinum.
The substantial pierced decorated setting displays a stunning central feature 16.38ct rectangular cushion cut Ceylon blue sapphire, eight claw set in relief to the centre.
The principal stone is flanked on either side with three stunning individually claw set pear cut diamonds, flanking a marquise cut diamond.
The pierced decorated ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain platinum ring shank, featuring stabilising balls/sizing spacers; these allow the ring to pass over larger knuckles and sit securely on the finger, however they can be removed upon request.
This antique sapphire ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark (MP) and the platinum mark (PLA).
This magnificent ring is supplied with six IDGL diamond grading report certificates, in addition to a sapphire report certificate from The Gem and Pearl Laboratory Limited, 43 Kirby Street, London*.
Such large stunning sapphires of this quality are rare to locate.
NOTE: * The Gem & Pearl Laboratory has certified the natural sapphire originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and verifies that the gemstone shows evidence of heat treatment.
