This stunning, fine and impressive vintage yellow sapphire ring has been crafted in platinum with an 18ct yellow gold setting.
The pierced decorated setting displays a stunning feature 10.78ct cushion cut Ceylon yellow sapphire, 18ct yellow gold claw set in relief to the centre of the design.
The sapphire is encircled with fourteen claw set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds, totalling 1.42cts.
The pierced decorated, bifurcating ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the stranded ring shank.
The yellow sapphire ring is hallmarked to the outer shank with the French 18ct gold mark (eagle's head) and platinum mark (dog's head).
This impressive 1960s ring is supplied with a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*, in addition to an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
Such large vintage yellow sapphire examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
