This stunning, fine and impressive antique Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in platinum.
The subtly domed Art Deco setting is ornamented with a stunning and large feature oval cut Ceylon sapphire, collet set in relief to the centre of the design.
The feature sapphire is flanked on either side with a splayed two strand arrangement, each comprised of three channel set square faceted cut Ceylon sapphires, totalling 0.34ct.
The substantial feature Ceylon sapphire is further framed with fourteen pave set Old European round cut diamonds.
The tapering ring shoulders are ornamented with a further three pave set graduating diamonds and three channel set square faceted cut sapphires, conjoining the feature setting to the plain ring shank.
The ring is hallmarked to the interior surface of the shank with the platinum mark (PLAT).
This Art Deco ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card for the diamonds and supporting sapphires, in addition to sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London* for the feature stone.
Such stunning original antique rings, set with large natural Ceylon sapphires, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
NOTE: * This documentation accredits the sapphire originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and certifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating.
