Description

This stunning, fine and impressive vintage bird brooch has been crafted in 18 ct yellow gold.

The brooch has been modelled in the form of a hummingbird*.

The pierced decorated frame is embellished with an engraved decoration, and accented with rope twist decoration.

The head of the bird is represented by a fancy cabochon cut moonstone, and a collet set 0.03 ct round cut ruby represents the eye.

A substantial red coral cabochon is four claw set to the body of the bird.

The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and push fit clasp.

The bird is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the Italian hallmark for the maker Garavelli Aldo & Co. and town mark of Alessandria (237 AL), in addition to the 18 ct gold fineness mark (750).

This impressive hummingbird brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

NOTE: *The bird has been determined as a hummingbird due to the characteristics of the body and distinguishable tail feathers displayed by a spatuletail hummingbird.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
