Description

This fine antique jabot pin brooch has been crafted in 9 ct yellow gold and silver setting.

The feature setting of this jabot* pin brooch has been modelled in the form of a retriever dog.

The dog's body is embellished with eleven pavé set eight cut and Dutch cut diamonds, totalling 0.28cts.

The retriever has a cabochon ruby eye.

The pin brooch secures with a pin fastening which has turned decoration to hold the brooch more securely and secures to one end with a chased decorated spring loaded cap.

This antique pin brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold and silver.

This antique diamond pin brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading card .

* Jabot pins were initially worn when men's shirts had a ruffle to the front. The pin was employed to keep the ruffle in place. Jabot pins have subsequently been worn by men as either cravat or tie pins, and by ladies as brooches or lapel pins.
