Description

This fine and impressive antique amethyst necklace has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.

The antique rivière necklace* is ornamented with twenty-nine graduated oval faceted cut amethysts, individually collet set.

Each articulating oval collet setting is encompassed with an applied rope twist decoration.

The necklace secures to the reverse with a discreet clasp ornamented with further collet set oval faceted amethyst.

The clasp tongue is further embellished with the contemporary engraved initials 'LH'.

This antique amethyst necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold.

This impressive rivière necklace is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

This stunning necklace is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.

NOTE: * A rivière necklace is composed of gemstones of the same species, that are either all the same size and shape or graduate subtly in size. Historically such settings were separate collets and the mid-eighteenth century saw the popularity of conjoining such settings with cord or ribbon. Classically rivières are designs with little to no ornamentation to allow the gemstone to be the feature of the piece.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
