Description

This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver cup and cover has a rounded gourd shaped form to a knopped pedestal and inverted bell foot.

The rounded bulbous body of the cup is embellished with exceptional engraved matte ornamentation encompassing inverted organic designs.

The cup retains the original hallmarked push fit domed cover ornamented with a continuation of decoration to the body.

This impressive cover is surmounted with an impressive sterling silver waisted circular finial.

The interior of the cover and body retain the original gilding.

This exceptional example of vintage silverware is supported by a circular knopped pedestal and encircled with bands of applied decoration.

If required, this vintage silver trophy cup could be supplied with a bespoke ebonised black plinth with sterling silver plaque or band, suitable for a personal engraved inscription. This service would take approximately 6 weeks, whereas the cup can be dispatched separately prior to completion.
