This exceptional antique George V sterling silver jewellery box has a rectangular shaped form.
The surface of the body and sides of the cover are plain and unembellished; the upper and lower portion of the box has a plain convex border.
This antique jewellery box is fitted with an impressive hallmarked hinged cover embellished with a pink guilloche enamel panel which reflects a wavy concentric ring design, emanating from the centre.
This sterling silver and enamel box is supported by four scrolling bracket style feet.
The body and cover of this fine jewellery box are fitted with a lined interior; the interior has been recovered in crimson fabric replicating the appearance of the original covering.
The base is weighted, as to be expected, and is fitted with leatherette to the underside.
