Maker: John Dygle

Date: 1685

This antique 17th century sterling silver plate is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

There is some surface wear to the well of the plate, in keeping with the age and purpose.

Full hallmarks struck to the anterior surface of the border are exceptionally clear for such an early example; this indicates the piece has seen little use.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of 17th century silverware.
