An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver teapot; an addition to our silver teaware collection

This exceptional antique Victorian silver teapot, in sterling standard, has a rectangular form with incurved corners.


The panelled body of this Atkin Brothers silver teapot is embellished with an impressive bright cut engraved stylised floral and foliate decoration, incorporating foliate festoons to either side composing vacant cartouches.


Each incurved corner panel is ornamented with further bright cut engraved foliate festoon decoration, accented with a pensile floral head motif.


The swept upper portion of the teapot features further leaf decorated borders.


This antique silver teapot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with a simplified bright cut engraved leaf design to each corner and surmounted with the original and impressive hallmarked cast sterling silver finial.


The teapot is fitted with a fine and impressive angular handle, ornamented with bright cut engraved festoons to either side of the handpiece.


The exceptional tapering spout is embellished with impressive festoon decoration, reflecting that of the handle.

This Atkin Brothers silver teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

The bright engraved ornamentation is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body, in addition to part hallmarks to the interior of the cover and the surface of the finial are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian silverware.
