Silver Owl Condiments

Sterling Silver Owl Condiment Set - Vintage (1964)

An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver three piece owl condiment set; part of our 1970s silver dining silverware

SKU C7745

This impressive vintage cast sterling silver three piece condiment set consists of a salt pot, a pepper pot and a mustard pot.

Each piece has been realistically modelled in the form of an owl.

The body of each piece of this vintage condiment set is embellished with details reproducing the owl's anatomical features and plumage.

The fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked flush hinged cover/head; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of the piece.

The mustard pot retains the original spoon, with a plain rounded form and a mouse decorated terminal.

The protruding beak to the cover is a functional thumbpiece and allows the spoon terminal to sit securely to one side.

Both the salt cellar and pepper pot are fitted with the original, hallmarked push fit cover/head ornamented to the upper portion with pierced holes.

The covers of these vintage silver owls are further ornamented with the original bead eyes.

This exceptional condiment set, crafted by the renowned London silversmith Richard Comyns of William Comyns & Sons Ltd, is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
