Description


The pieces of this exceptional and comprehensive antique George V straight* sterling silver flatware set for 8 persons have been crafted in a similar design to Jesmond/Berkshire pattern.


The surface of each rounded handle is embellished with scrolling leaf designs and thread decorated borders to a semi-circular leaf decorated terminal.


The anterior surface of each fork and spoon, in addition to the fish service, is ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting out of a coronet a demi-stag.

This impressive service benefits from a fine and impressive solid sterling silver fish service and pair of fish servers.


The fundamental components of this antique service have been crafted by the renowned silversmiths Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd between 1918-1919; the components have been hallmarked between the Sheffield and London assay offices.


The replacement table and dessert knives were crafted by Roberts & Belk Ltd in 1992 and the blades bear the maker's mark 'Roberts & Belk Ltd, Furnival Works, Sheffield England'.


This impressive antique sterling silver flatware for 8 is supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing.

This antique silver flatware service is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The ornamentation to each piece is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece and surface of each fish knife blade are all very clear.
