This fine and impressive Victorian brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with platinum settings.
The pierced decorated design displays a feature 26.32ct emerald cut amethyst with a millegrain decorated collet setting, surrounded by an 18ct yellow gold rope twist decorated border.
The stunning amethyst is encompassed with an impressive 18ct yellow gold satin finished scrolling leaf decorated frame, incorporating six millegrain decorated collet set eight-cut diamonds evenly distributed amongst the spiralling terminals.
The six main leaf designs are segmented to the upper and lower portions of the brooch with a swept platinum setting, each ornamented with four further eight-cut diamonds.
The toned petal designs to the upper and lower portions of the feature stone are ornamented with further platinum settings featuring eight eight-cut diamonds, graduating in size dependant on location.
The central amethyst setting is flanked with two horizontal arrays of eight seed pearls, each extending from a scroll motif to the end of the elongated frame, terminating with an individually platinum set eight-cut diamond.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheath fastening.
This Victorian amethyst brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold and platinum.
