Established in 1781 by William Asprey, the Asprey company quickly became renowned for crafting leather goods, home goods, and silverware. Asprey marketed themselves as a luxury brand from the get-go, stating that their goods were for ‘people of refinement and discernment’ – and the company’s reputation has only become more prestigious.

In 1862, the Asprey company received a royal warrant from Queen Victoria, earning a lot of royal attention and business from monarchs around the world. Asprey ∓ Co Ltd has at various points in its 240 years crafted coronets, crowns, and sceptres for numerous royal families.

The company experienced a further surge in popularity and prestige in the 1920s, when it became a popular choice for the American elite looking commission top quality goods from across the Atlantic, with cigarette cases being a highly popular collectible.

Today, Asprey is a household name for both its silverware and its jewellery, having partnerships with Ferrari, being the official jewellery sponsor for the BAFTAs, and even having designed the Heart of the Ocean pendant from the 1997 film, Titanic.
