The antique tea kettle is fitted with an impressive spout, ornamented to the underside with embossed fluted decoration.

The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand supported by four impressive paw and scrolling leaf decorated legs.

The stand incorporates a plain frame which retains the original detachable spirit burner.

The kettle stand is fitted with the original chains and lobed hallmarked security pegs.

Maker: The Alexander Clark Manufacturing Co

Date: 1905

This antique tea kettle is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The interior of the kettle has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the kettle and stand, and part hallmarks to the cover, have wear in keeping with age and location.

The date letter surround, in conjunction with the registration date of the maker, determines the date of this piece between 1900-1912, with a strong probability of 1905 due to the visible bracketed serifs of the letter.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Edwardian silverware.

Height to top of handle 33.2cm/13.1"

Length from back of handle to tip of spout 22cm/8.7"
