This silver and enamel cigarette case has a subtly curved form proffering a comfortable fit in the majority of pockets.

The anterior cover is embellished with an exceptional enamel panel depicting a beach scene with a woman in period attire altering her garter.

The enamel scene is signed to the lower corner with the initials 'CF'.

The rounded sides and posterior cover of this cigarette case are plain and unembellished.

This case is fitted with a push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments.

This impressive example of Victorian silverware retains the original gilt interior.

The hallmarked interior of the case bears the retailer's mark Frank Hyams Ld, 128 New Bond St, London, W.

The enamel is in perfect condition.

There is some minor surface scratches to the anterior surface, in keeping with age; this does not detract from the aesthetically pleasing appearance of the case.

The hallmarks struck to the interior rim of the posterior cover are very clear.

The part hallmarks to the surface of the anterior cover have wear in keeping with age and location.
