This exceptional vintage sterling silver ecclesiastical chalice has a circular bell-shaped form onto a hexagonal panelled knop and swept pedestal foot.

The plain surface of this vintage silver chalice has a subtle planished finish.

The large knop is embellished with an impressive applied band of undulating decoration, reflecting a crown of thorns.

The swept pedestal is encompassed with an applied rope twist decorated border, in addition to an engraved cross motif to the foot.

The interior of the circular drinking vessel is gilded.
