The body of each piece features a shaped vacant cartouche, flanked with a resting sheep and structure design, all amidst the aforementioned foliate decoration.

The flared upper and lower rims of each dish are encompassed with an applied moulded border.

These antique dish rings are fitted with a removable clear glass liner.

* The dish ring, also known as a potato ring, was introduced in the late 17th century and used to support a hot food dish on a table or sideboard; not only adding to the ornamentation but also protecting the surface against heat.
