Description

This exceptional, fine and impressive antique bug brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with 18ct white gold settings.

The brooch has been modelled in the form of a six-legged beetle; the design reflects the spotted anatomy of a ladybird/ladybug.

The body of the insect is ornamented with twelve fine and impressive cabochon cut turquoises, in addition to ten white gold collet set eight-cut diamonds.

The head of this impressive Victorian insect brooch is embellished with two collet set round faceted cut ruby eyes.

This Victorian brooch secures to the reverse with a double hinged pin and push fit safety clasp.

Each of the pins is hallmarked with the French gold import mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office.

This antique bug brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold.

This impressive antique brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
