4.16ct Diamond and Platinum Double Clip Brooch - Art Deco - Antique Circa 1930

Description

This stunning, fine and impressive diamond clip brooch has been crafted in platinum.

Each Art Deco brooch features a splayed multi-stranded design, each terminating with an impressive individually four claw set transitional modern brilliant cut diamond; totalling eight diamonds per brooch.

The lower portion of each strand array is enveloped with a scrolling tied ribbon design, ornamented with twenty pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds.

This versatile brooch may be separated into two halves and worn individually, securing together with a double-ended push fit clip.

The brooches secure to the reverse via hinged double pins and push fit fastenings; the pins hallmarked with the platinum fineness marks (950).

This diamond double clip brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

NOTE: The duette (or double clip) style brooch increased in popularity in the first half of the twentieth century; they flourished during the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements due to the use of symmetry of organic designs. Due to their versatility they can be simply worn as an eye-catching single brooch, whereas the two matching brooches could be utilised as collar clips, hat clips, shoes clips, and hair clips.
