Large Sterling Silver Six Light Candelabrum Centrepiece by Paul Storr - Antique William IV

A magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique William IV English cast sterling silver six light candelabrum centrepiece made by Paul Storr; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection

SKU C7697

This magnificent and large antique English cast sterling silver six light candelabrum has a baluster, shaped form.

This antique silver centrepiece candelabrum retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit arms.

The cast sterling silver scrolling arms (labra) are ornamented with large enveloping scrolling leaf designs and accented with naturalistic decoration to the stems.

The original, detachable screw fit baluster shaped capitals are ornamented with organic textures, accented with leaf motifs.

The capitals retain the original detachable hallmarked cast sterling silver sconces, each embellished with scroll and organic designs to the shaped rim.

Each capital surmounts a cast, hallmarked circular shaped drip pan, incorporating large scrolling leaf designs to the matte textured anterior surface.

The elevated central capital surmounts a waisted shaped boss and features the same drip pan and sconce as the five labra.

This Paul Storr candelabrum can be used as an imposing candlestick once the push fit arms (labra) are detached.

This large baluster shaped column is embellished with further magnificent scrolling leaf designs.

The column surmounts a magnificent and substantial cast base, ornamented with exceptional scrolling leaf and floral designs, accented with scale motif decorated panels.

The base is further ornamented with four magnificent eagle models, each perched with the wings extended and embellished with details replicating the bird's anatomical features and feathers.

The base is supported by eight magnificent cast alternating leaf decorated feet, emanating from the aforementioned decoration.

This magnificent silver candelabrum, crafted by the renowned and collectable silversmith Paul Storr, is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
