This exceptional antique Russian silver gilt and polychrome cloisonné enamel spoon has an oval shaped bowl onto an elongated stem.
The reverse surface of the bowl is embellished with cloisonné scrolling foliate designs amidst bands of white bead decoration using various vibrant tones of green, blue and red sections of polychrome enamel, all on a matte gilt background.
The enamel segments are encompassed with applied silver gilt paralleling rope twist ornamentation.
The gilt stem of this enamel spoon features a segment of rope twist style ornamentation.
This Russian spoon terminates with a blue toned cloisonné enamel decorated knopped handpiece encompassed with lozenge and floral motifs, in addition to a petal design encircling the plain finial.
