Description

This impressive antique emerald brooch has been crafted in 18 ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.

The pierced decorated frame has an oval form.

It features a total of twenty-two step cut natural emeralds set in three vertical lines alternately displayed between two lines of nine old Dutch cut diamonds also vertically displayed within the 18 ct yellow gold frame.

The oval outer frame is embellished with a further fifty-six old Dutch cut diamonds pavé set in platinum.

This fine original antique brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and locking catch.

This 1910s brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

The emerald brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 ct gold and platinum.

"Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."
