Description

The pieces of this exceptional antique and vintage sterling silver flatware set have been crafted in a variation of the early Trefid pattern.

The surface of each handle terminal is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a cat's head.

Each spoon features an impressive classic rat tail ornamentation to the reverse of the bowl.

The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs.

This sterling silver flatware set consists of 52 pieces:

Basic Service:
10 Table forks
10 Table spoons
10 Soup spoons
10 Dessert forks
10 Dessert spoons
Additional Pieces:
Pair of sauce ladles

The antique George V six place setting of the basic service were crafted by the London silversmiths Finnigans Ltd in 1917, whereas the remaining setting including the sauce ladles were made by Garrard & Co Ltd in 1968; each piece has the same gauge of silver and it can be determined the same die was used during production of the vintage service.

This flatware service can be purchased with knives if so desired, exact matching pattern knives are not available but a similar design can be arranged; for further information please contact Andrew Campbell directly at enquiries@acsilver.co.uk.

This antique flatware service is supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing.
