Description


The pieces of this exceptional antique George V sterling silver cutlery set for twelve persons have been crafted in a desirable Art Deco design.


The surface of each tapering handle is embellished with a thread decorated border accented with zig-zag and Greek key designs, all in the geometric Art Deco style.


The original table and dessert knives bear the original composite handles.


This Art Deco style silver cutlery service consists of 88 pieces:

The components of this canteen, including the original knives, were crafted by the renowned silversmiths Elkington & Co Ltd in 1934.


The original knives bear the maker's mark 'Elkington & Co, Stainless, Cutlers & Silversmiths' to the stainless steel blades.

This antique Art Deco style silver cutlery service is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
