Description

This fine antique brooch has been crafted in 9 ct yellow gold and platinum.

The brooch features a step cut natural emerald to the centre of the pierced decorated quatrefoil, platinum set design.

The emerald is surrounded by eight, well colour matched Old European cut diamonds displayed within a shaped, millegrain decorated border.

The anterior face of this 1910 brooch has a platinum surface.

The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and security catch.

The brooch is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation case which displays the retailer's mark T.S.Cuthbert, watch manufacturer and diamond merchant, 48 Buchannan Street, Glasgow to the satin and velvet interior.

This antique diamond and emerald bar brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold.

This brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading card.

"Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."
