Description


The pieces of this fine, antique Victorian sterling silver straight* flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in King's pattern.


The anterior surface of each piece incorporates the contemporary engraved initials 'JMJ'; the engraving could be erased upon request.


The reverse of each spoon and fork features a union shell and diamond heel in addition to convex shell ornamentation to the terminal.


This Victorian silver flatware consists of 48 pieces:

The components of this antique service have been crafted by the collectable, renowned silversmith and flatware maker George Adams of Chawner & Co in 1855.

This antique Victorian silver flatware set is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The King's pattern ornamentation is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine and impressive Victorian canteen.
