These stunning, fine and impressive antique 1930s diamond earrings have been crafted in 18ct white gold with platinum settings.
Each earring has a feature circular terminal ornamented with a principal claw set Old European cut diamond to the centre.
The feature setting suspends from an articulated link drop, with an alternating single collet set diamond and marquise shaped setting bearing three pavé set eight cut diamonds.
Each earring is embellished with a further Old European round cut diamond, collet set to the apex, completing the design.
The reverse of each earring incorporates a safety chain, allowing for movement whilst keeping the feature terminal securely attached to the fastening.
These diamond drop earrings, for pierced ears, secure to the reverse with a post and push fit fastening.
The post and fastening both bear the French hallmark for 18ct gold (eagle's head) and these stunning drop earrings have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold and platinum.
These impressive 1920s earrings are supplied with two IDGL diamond grading report certificates for the feature stones, in addition to an IDGL diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.
Such original antique examples featuring larger, evenly colour-matched feature diamonds are becoming increasingly difficult to locate, reflecting the quality of the goldsmith’s selection of well-matched diamonds throughout.
These 1930s platinum diamond drop earrings combine elegant proportions with the enduring brilliance of diamonds. The platinum setting provides a refined, cool-toned finish, enhancing the sparkle of the gemstones while offering lasting durability. Its graceful drop design creates delicate movement and understated sophistication, making it particularly suited to weddings, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, or formal occasions. Its antique character and timeless elegance give it lasting appeal as a distinctive addition to a fine jewellery collection.
