The upper rim of the box is encompassed with plain applied moulded borders to the rim.

This antique box retains the original hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with an impressive and large cast silver organic finial with a swept quatrefoil motif to the lower portion.

This exceptional silver box retains the original hallmarked latch and swivel catch; this catch indicates the high quality of the piece.
