The cartouche to one side depicts a scene of a male figure playing cricket and the opposing side of the goblet incorporates the engraved inscription 'Mohawk Cricket Club presented by Mr G H Scott For Best Bowling Average. 1st Eleven Season 1884 5 won by Mr J W Turnbull'*.
The drinking vessel surmounts a waisted knopped pedestal to a circular domed foot, each encompassed with bead decorated borders.
