This magnificent and rare vintage sapphire necklace has been crafted in platinum.
The necklace has a symmetrical, stylised bow design, all in the iconic Art Deco manner.
The centre of the necklace bears a layered lobed design, accented with a horizontal linear array of four stunning channel set calibre cut Basaltic sapphires, encompassed with twelve impressive baguette cut diamonds.
The central design is flanked to either side with three articulating and graduating settings, comprised of a continuation of stunning Basaltic sapphires, in a horizontal formation, each flanked with an arched array of baguette cut diamonds, all in the Art Deco style.
Each terminal is accented with a curved collar design, with an emanating single strand of Basaltic sapphires; this sapphire design has been hand-crafted to appear to be intricately threaded through the whole bow design.
The terminals are further embellished with opposing interlacing curvilinear scroll designs, incorporating twenty-eight channel set diamonds, completing the design.
The necklace setting suspends from a platinum chain ornamented with ten individually collet set diamonds, securing to the reverse with a push fit catch, bearing a miniature representation of the central vertical necklace link, embellished with Basaltic sapphires and diamonds; this ornamented chain and clasp bears a high attention to detail and indicates the high quality of the piece.
This impressive vintage sapphire and diamond necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.
The stunning platinum sapphire necklace is supplied with a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*, in addition to a diamond and gemstone grading report card for the supporting diamonds.
