This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver and mother of pearl dessert service consists of twelve knives and twelve forks.


The blades of the Victorian knives have a pointed form and the forks each have four tines/prongs.


The surface of each knife blade and drop of each fork is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration.


Each piece of this antique Victorian flatware service is fitted with the original and impressive carved mother of pearl handle.


The knives and forks retain the original sterling silver ferrules ornamented with ribbed ornamentation.


Each mother of pearl knife and fork is fitted to the fine and impressive original hinged oak wood canteen box with a lift up lid.


The interior of the box bears a satin lining and velvet lining.


The box retains the original key and locking mechanism.


This Sheffield mother of pearl dessert set makes an exquisite gift for weddings, anniversaries, milestone birthdays or housewarmings. Equally suited to the holiday table or a refined silverware collection, it brings artistry and elegance to life's most celebrated occasions.

This antique silver dessert service is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is all very sharp.

The original box is in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each blade, fork drop and ferrule are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this exceptional example of Victorian antiques.
