This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with 18ct white gold settings.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a perched bird.
The body of the bird is embellished with impressive scalloped white gold settings accented with twenty-four pavé set Dutch cut diamonds, replicating the details of the wings.
The bird's head feature further pavé set Dutch cut diamonds to the crest, in addition a round faceted cut ruby representing the eye.
The multi-stranded, scrolling tail feathers incorporate a curvilinear white gold setting embellished with eight Dutch cut diamonds and a tapering array of mixed cut rubies, completing the design.
This vintage gold brooch secures to the reverse of the setting with a hinged pin and sheath fastening.
This stunning brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold.
