An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver pepperette modelled in the form of a chauffeur; an addition to our range of silver novelty items

This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver pepperette has been realistically modelled in the form of a male figure portrayed as a chauffeur.


This impressive novelty pepperette is embellished with engraved decoration reproducing the details of the gentleman's overcoat, in addition to applied curvilinear arms.


This Chester silver pepper retains the original hallmarked push fit cover/head which features pierced 'pepper' holes to the plateau of the hat.


The impressive cover is further embellished with applied details replicating the figure's motor vehicle driving goggles.


This impressive antique model stands to a plain circular weighted base and retains the original leatherette cover to the underside.


The base bears the registration number 'REGD No 490421', in addition to the full hallmarks.


This impressive sterling silver pepper was crafted by the silversmiths Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd.

This antique Chester silver pepper is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The engraved decoration is all very crisp

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the base and part hallmarks to the sleeve of the cover/head are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
