This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian pendant has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
This impressive example of Egyptian Revival jewellery has been modelled in the form of stylised scarab beetle; this style of 19th century jewellery is inspired by the art and symbolism of ancient Egypt.
The pendant is embellished with an impressive oval cabochon turquoise to the beetle's abdomen, with a further circular cabochon replicating the head, each collet set.
The scalloped and displayed ribbed wings are ornamented with eight pavé set Old European cut diamonds, graduating in size.
The plain yellow gold limbs of the beetle each flank further horizontally collet set oval cabochon cut turquoises.
The feature design suspends from 18ct yellow gold chains attached to the tips of the wings and ornamented with a further collet set cabochon cut turquoise to the apex.
This diamond and turquoise pendant is suspended from a 17" 18ct chain and fastens via a conventional spring-loaded bolt fastening to the reverse.
This stunning antique Victorian pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold.
The antique pendant in gold is supplied with an IDGL gemstone and diamond grading report card.
This Victorian Egyptian Revival pendant is a distinctive gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or academic milestones, especially suited to those drawn to history, symbolism, or antique jewellery.
