A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver three piece tea service/set made by Paul Storr in the Regency style; an addition to our silver teaware collection

This magnificent antique George III three piece sterling silver tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug, and sugar bowl.


Each piece of this impressive Paul Storr silver teaset has a rectangular rounded form onto four ball style feet, all in the Regency style.


The components of this magnificent service are embellished with chased fluted ornamentation to the lower portion, emanating from impressive leaf designs to each rounded corner.


The upper rim of the sugar bowl and cream jug, in addition to the shoulders of the teapot are encompassed with a cast and applied gadroon decorated border incorporating simplified leaf designs, accented with large scrolling leaf designs to each corner.


The upper rim of the teapot is encircled with an applied egg and dart decorated border.


The Regency style teapot is fitted with a plain flush hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the original and impressive sterling silver topped fluted carved finial; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of the service.


The teapot is fitted with the original, fine and impressive carved ribbed handle, with a magnificent cast sterling silver lower terminal modelled in the form of a leaf collared snake's head; the upper bifurcating socket is comprised of two undulating snake tails.


The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with S scroll handles with cast and applied scrolling leaf decoration to each handpiece.


The teapot is fitted with a fine and impressive cast spout ornamented with a large chased scrolling leaf design to the lower portion and a palmette design to the upper plateau.


The cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilded interiors.


This magnificent antique tea service was crafted by the very collectable and important London silversmith Paul Storr.

This antique Paul Storr silver teaset is a magnificent gauge of silver, magnificent quality and in magnificent condition.

The cast, applied and chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks struck to the cover of the teapot are all clear, in keeping with age and location.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Paul Storr silverware.
