This exceptional, fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted with a 15 ct yellow gold bar and platinum, 12ct yellow and rose gold design.

The plain 15ct yellow gold bar features a realistically modelled pheasant in flight.

This tri-coloured brooch has a textured decoration imitating the bird's natural plumage.

The design is accented with platinum details to the tail feathers and wings; items such as this typically will have been crafted in tri-colour gold, the use of platinum indicates the high quality of the piece.

The head of the bird is set with a round faceted cut ruby, representing the eye.

This impressive antique bar brooch secures to the reverse with a 9ct yellow gold hinged pin and clasp fastening.

The antique brooch is hallmarked to the reverse of the bar with the 15 ct gold mark (15ct).
