This stunning, fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold with platinum settings.
The oval brooch frame is ornamented with a stunning and large feature 12.80ct oval faceted cut orange topaz, offset to the upper portion of the design.
The topaz is secured via eight collet set diamonds, in a combination of Dutch and eight cuts.
The wirework style frame is further embellished with two strands conjoined with four claw set Old European cut diamonds, flanked with six further collet set diamonds, completing the design.
This topaz brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp fastening.
This stunning vintage topaz brooch is hallmarked to the side of the setting with the maker's mark (C+F), 14ct gold mark (14 585), the Birmingham Assay Office mark (anchor) and the date letter for 1959 (k), in addition to the engraved mark for platinum (PT); the piece has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 carat gold and platinum.
